Truck Driver & Messenger

Performs routing work collecting and delivery of merchandise, materials and documents as per company needs. Drives company vehicles to transports components and merchandise required to support all Cooper Vision operations.   Assists visitors with transportation and complete errands.

1. Transports manufacturing components and production supplies to support all Cooper Vision manufacturing areas in accordance with company policies and procedures.
2. Transports release finish good product between manufacturing and warehouse buildings.
3. Collects and delivers correspondence, merchandise (MRO) or materials to and within the company and maintain proof of delivery records.
4. Operates the finger lift to move or locate material in the warehouse area.
5. Responsible for Company Vehicles Maintenance.
6. Provides support to finish good product acknowledge at warehouse.
7. Transfer and Maintain Bulk Polypropylene Inventory (Web Control & BPCS)
8. Supports general warehouse activities such as: 

• Maintains good inventory storage and handling practice.
• Cycle count and physical inventory activities.
• Maintains good housekeeping practices.
• Assists receiving and shipping operations
• Assists materials handling to Manufacturing or Packaging Operations
• Participate on MRO Materials delivery to owners.
• Participate in any other duties related to Warehouse and Logistics activities as required.

• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Applies communication skills to work as a team group
• Complies with the Quality System Regulation (QSR) and ISO 13485.
• Executes job responsibilities as established in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Teamwork oriented
• Initiative and problem-solving skills
• Able to work overtime if necessary, with minimum supervision
• Good interpersonal skills at all levels
• Highly motivated, self-starter, and responsible person
• Operate pallet jack or finger with the appropriate license

Experience:

• Preferred experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical environment
• At least six months of experience as heavy driver 

Education:

High School Diploma
