The Biochip Production Supervisor is responsible for effective and efficient supervision of entire Biochip processes including all personnel, equipment, and tools utilized for the operations of Biochip manufacturing. This individual will have the opportunity to learn the entire biochip processes, lead a group of teams on various biochip projects and have the opportunity to grow with the Biochip team.
This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and is part of the Biochip Manufacturing department located in Newark, CA and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Serve as leader between different Biochip processes to ensure production flows smoothly through the production area while meeting timeline requirements.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the processes, observing processes and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, utilizing reporting procedures and systems in accordance with company guidelines to ensure success in meeting the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity goals.
- Develop standard work for departments and continue to drive improvements leveraging Danaher Business System tools to help increase department efficiencies. This includes, but not limited to daily management, Kaizen events and root cause problem solving methods.
- Identifies problems in workflows, determines required solutions and improvements, and implements necessary modifications in affected Biochip processes.
- Contribute to improving manufacturing processes through solution-based ideation for continuous improvements and use of lean manufacturing tools, e.g., Kaizen, PSP and 4E.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High School diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of related work experience
- Leadership experience
- Demonstrated capability in problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team to deliver strong performance.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel under 5% domestically to other manufacturing sites
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Demonstrated and understanding of Semiconductor manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in people management, change management and project management.
- Experience in clinical diagnostic or medical device manufacturing or technical field, supplemented by courses in Supervisory and Communication skills, Good Manufacturing Practices, cost accounting, product quality, and excellent computer knowledge.

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$125,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
