Cook

The Cook position prepares appetizing meals for patient tray service and guests in the cafeteria. Oversees kitchen operations in the absence of Nutrition Services Manager/Supervisor.

Work Schedule: M-F - 10:15am to 7pm and 10:30am to 7pm every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in hospital or nursing home setting or equivalent experience 
• Knowledge of modified recipes for special diets 
• Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions 
• Basic cooking skills 
• Ability to be on feet 8 hours per day 
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, prior equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of diploma
