1. Maintain, inspect, adjust, disassemble, repair and reassemble, overhaul, rebuild, install or replace equipment to meet specifications and production requirements in mulitple areas without direct supervision.
2. Use advanced mechanical skills to troubleshoot and problem solve difficult or unique mechanical problems in multiple areas of the facility, and without direct supervision.
3. Use advanced mechanical skills to design, layout, and plan construction, installation or replacement of equipment and or structures.
4. Use advanced mechanical skills to perform more detailed fabrication of parts, equipment, or structures, to include load bearing structures, in multiple areas of the facility.
5. Contact, schedule, and work directly with service providers or vendors as needed.
6. Work with management to ensure preventative maintenance programs are up to date and maintained.
7. Develop/write SWI's or other training materials to use in training new or junior mechanics.
8. Train and develop new and junior mechanics.
9. Work with management to ensure parts are ordered/reordered to maintain proper inventory level necessary for the production season as well as off season rebuild.

2. Has advanced mechanical skills and can competently work in their assigned area, and has proven skills to work in at least four, or more, of the following areas: (Could be considered a mechanical expert in one or more areas)
Preparation Equipment (Beets & Carrots) Palletizers/Depalletizers/Wrapper Waste water treatment Color sorters Boilers/Water Treatment Fork lifts/Tractors/Manlifts Fill & close equipment Electrical/PLC Seasonal housing

3. Advanced mechanical knowledge to understand structural design and is able to design, layout, and fabricate more complex structures/parts/equipment in detail ("factory quality") to meet production, quality, and safety standards.
4. Can read, understand and follow maintenance and operational manuals, blue prints, sketches or electrical diagrams to perform maintenance and/or troubleshoot equipment problems. Can also update prints and diagrams as changes occur to plant equipment or systems.
5. Advanced mechanical ability to understand, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, rebuild, replace, design at least three of the following systems: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuitry, piping systems, brine systems and components.
