Estimator (Construction Sector)

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the construction project development process. Your primary responsibility is to provide accurate cost estimates and resource assessments for a variety of projects within the energy sector. By ensuring competitive and profitable bids, you contribute to the Company’s commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment:

   • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and drawings.

   • Identify key factors that impact construction costs.

2. Cost Estimation:

   • Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to prepare detailed and precise cost estimates.

   • Evaluate costs related to materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

3. Bid Preparation:

   • Create comprehensive bid proposals that outline cost breakdowns, project schedules, and other relevant information.

   • Present these proposals to potential clients and stakeholders.

4. Vendor and Subcontractor Engagement:

   • Solicit quotes from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.

   • Negotiate favorable terms and competitive pricing for project components.

5. Risk Analysis:

   • Identify potential risks and uncertainties during the estimation process.

   • Develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure reliable estimates.

6. Value Engineering:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore cost-saving alternatives.

   • Maintain project quality standards while optimizing expenses.

7. Bid Presentation:

   • Effectively communicate bid proposals to clients and project stakeholders.
