As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) joining our team, you will play an important role in helping make communities healthier®.

We are currently seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinic team. This position will work approximately 2.5 days per week at Manchester Pediatrics and 2 days floating to other clinic locations based on operational needs.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Medical Assistant  who excels in this role:

• Provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Monitors and records vital signs, intake and output, and reports changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation.
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings.
• Maintains patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment.
• Supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow.
• Manages tech desk operations and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput.
• Documents patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards.
• Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What to expect.

Clinic Volume:

• 7–14 patients daily 

Staffing Model:

• Up to 8 patients: 1 Nurse + 1 CMA 
• Over 8 patients: 2 Nurses + 2 CMAs 

Unit Type: Post-Acute Clinic

Rooms:

• 14 rooms (Winchester, double occupancy available) 

Care Model:

• Collaborative team approach (RNs, LPNs, CMAs)

What we're looking for

• Education
  High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
   
• Certifications
   
  National Medical Assistant Certification 
  AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  Handle with Care certification preferred.
