SUMMARY: 

Qorvo is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join its IT Manufacturing Systems Smart Factory team. This is an exciting, multidimensional role and opportunity for growth within an experienced, high-performance IT group which designs, develops, and supports manufacturing, business, and engineering analysis systems for Qorvo.

 

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter proficient in Software Development and Deployment of both on-premises and cloud-based applications. In addition, strong problem solving, verbal and written communication, inter-group coordination, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills are required.

This position can be located near any Qorvo US locations including Richardson, TX, Greensboro, NC, Hillsboro, OR or Apopka, FL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Software deployment, development, and maintenance of corporate and factory applications. Partnering tightly with cross-functional team members and subject matter experts to determine requirements are meeting client area expectations.
  • Plans, designs, develops, tests, tunes, maintains, and documents software programs, systems, and platforms.
  • Adheres to standards, pattern-based development principles and participates in code reviews to help maintain and preserve established, best practices development outcomes.
  • Implements integration solutions for disparate systems and assists in consultations with other departments for the selection and use of programming, business intelligence and productivity tools.
  • Services customer facing applications with intuitive, effective and efficient user interfaces
  • Deployment, testing, evaluation and design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set. 
  • Maintains awareness of technology trends and identifies opportunities to incorporate new tools within existing solutions while prioritizing stability and consistency. 

 

• Be an ambassador for IT, working across the business to provide effective communication on IT matters and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue between departments.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor’s degree in: Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent combination of training and experience required.
• 1 to 5 years of demonstrated experience serving roles effectively within the Systems Development Life Cycle, writing modular, sustainable code.
• Supporting applications in Manufacturing setting experience (MES,  Factory Automation, SAP interfaces, Web Applications, ETL jobs etc.)
• Experience with .Net Core/Framework (C#) a must. Experience in VBA/VB6 a plus.
• Experience with design patterns and best practices.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language Python, Powershell, Tcl, csh etc.  a plus.
• Proficient in development and architectural best practices for responsive web apps/sites in Javascript frameworks (React, Next, Angular, others.)
• Working proficiency with relational database design, SQL query construction, stored procedures (preferably MSSQL, ORACLE experience a plus)
• Experience with working with large datasets and tuning queries for performance.
• Experience in Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Databricks a plus.
• Experience in Test Driven development environments.
• DevOps experience using GitLab or GitHub
