In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to understand the financial needs of our Members to provide the appropriate solutions. This will include completing front line transactional services to support their day to day banking, as well as the opportunity to grow by fulfilling advisory sales such as opening new accounts, offering credit, deposit, finding opportunities for wealth referrals.

 

As a senior member of the Contact Centre sales/lending team, the primary responsibilities for this position will be to understand the financial needs of our Members and provide the appropriate advice and recommendations to fit their needs.  This will include offering large or complex credit and investment advice as well as proactively identifying and promoting opportunities for Meridian products and services.  In this role the Financial Services Associate will be responsible for meeting and exceeding specific individual and team-based business goals.  While providing the right financial solutions, the incumbent will manage Member portfolios to genuinely build and develop relationships with Members. While actively positioning Meridian’s products and services to add value to our Members financial well-being. There will be responsibility for meeting and exceeding specific individual and team-based business goals. While providing the right financial solutions and being able to work in a one-to-many environment, while providing exemplary services to our members

 

What you’ll do:

 

Member Experience

  • Understand how Meridian’s products and services can add value to our Members
  • Provide investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that meet our Member needs
  • Provide recommendations on credit products based on accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills
  • Engage in revenue generation and sales based activities in order to achieve performance objectives.
  • Use provided tools to proactively identify and promote opportunities with all Members to deepen relationships and provide flawless service experiences
  • Embrace virtual technology platforms and use them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Member’s privacy

What you can bring to Meridian:

  • Post-secondary education with at least 3 years of equivalent work experience in a financial services environment with a consistent track record in sales
  • Strong business and financial industry knowledge, with a desire for career growth within the financial services industry
  • MFDA license an asset
  • Flexible to work all scheduled hours which include some evenings and weekends
  • Proven understanding of computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills, including coaching and leadership skills
  • Effective organizational time management, and problem-solving skill
