Job Description 

Role Summary:

The primary role of the Investigation Specialist Sr. is to coordinate, gather, and analyze data from NHTSA Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) and to analyze the data for market disturbances and trends related to Audi branded vehicles to ensure a systematic and effective early warning monitoring process.

In addition, this role will procure, verify, and assemble warranty and field report information from various internal and external sources to respond to NHTSA inquiries/investigations and factory requests for Audi branded vehicles.  The results are to be provided in the requested format by the due date.

The individual in this role must express complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and legally sensitive manner.  He/she must also provide necessary technical guidance and supportive services/information (both technical and non-technical in nature) to assist and enable Volkswagen and Audi to develop, refine, and present our defense strategies.

Lastly, the individual in this role will be responsible for analyzing the market’s needs, understanding the data requests and trend analysis needed, and creating the necessary processes to support NHTSA related inquires.

Role Responsibilities:

Vehicle Owner Questionnaire Analysis (50%)

  • Compiles, reconciles, analyzes, quantifies, and qualifies NHTSA VOQ data, performs a trend analysis, and investigates/validates customer concerns with current market awareness/warranty data/customer CARE/CXC and field report information to provide an effective and systematic early warning system. 
  • Coordinates and facilitates communications with VWAG, AUDI AG, and other organizations to identify and develop an understanding of any data abnormalities prior to submission.
  • Escalates any trending topics to management, factories, Audi Aftersales committees (such as Aftersales Steer Co), and to Market Matter Review Group.

Investigations / Data Scientist (50%)

  • Compiles, reconciles, analyzes, quantifies, and qualifies technical data from all warranty and field report sources (both internal and external) to provide responses to NHTSA inquiries and factory requests in order to develop a technical defense for Volkswagen and Audi products in the United States.
  • Data must be provided on or before due date assigned at kick-off meeting or agreement with Group Customer Protection/Factory.
  • Coordinates and facilitates communications with VWAG, Audi AG, and other organizations to identify and develop an understanding of any data abnormalities prior to submission.
  • Develops and maintains a documented, logical process for obtaining necessary information, documentation, and compiling into an easy-to-understand document to support NHTSA inquires.
