OVERVIEW

AT&T Network Solution Architect & Integrated Systems Engineering: 

  • Define Integrated / End-to-End Solutions for the Automation of Network Operational Processes for the Mobility 5G Core Network Edge & Fabric functions.
  • The focus and responsibilities of this position are to collaborate and lead cross-organizational technical design discussions to enable AT&T to offer emerging Mobility 5G services on the Mobility Core Network Edge and Fabric infrastructure.
  • Key deliverables include the definition of the Automated Systems/Applications Solutions to ensure alignment across Networks, Operations and Services technical teams.
  • This role also includes the Applications’ Product Owner functions to define high level features to drive the Agile DevOps Trains that develop the Automation capabilities.
  • As the client facing / front end Systems Engineer for the DevOps train, this position will require collaboration and technical leadership across Network Design technical teams, Operations teams (TP&E, LCM, ATS) and Applications teams (Inventory, L2/L3 Assignments, Workflow, Configuration, Controller, Audit functions) to ensure that Automation Software Releases are delivered into Production to meet the Program objectives within the timelines and affordability/program budgets.  

Skills Profile:

  • Position requires technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas - L2 & L3 Networking, Mobility 5G Services and Operations Automation Systems
  • Software engineering & development experience
  • Cloud and/or Network certifications – Azure/AWS/GCP – Cisco/Juniper
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms (e.g., KVM, Containers, Docker, Azure)
  • Practical or theoretical knowledge of Network protocols and technologies: IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, Routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), MPLS, LDP, RSVP, multicast, SRv6, CoS/QoS, EVPN, VxLAN, VRRP, VPLS, FXC, Psuedowire at the protocol and implementation level
  • Experience with data center networking
  • Analysis and definition of requirements to design highly innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of physical and logical compute components
  • Knowledge of information security principles and practices
  • Experience with system data models
  • Experience defining and developing APIs for service automation, provisioning and reporting with working knowledge of common API components e.g., REST, SOAP, RPC, JSON, XML
  • Ability to oversee technical solutions and plan implementation through multiple iterations from concept to production
  • Ability to incorporate industry knowledge and customer needs into product roadmaps
  • Good interpersonal skills, excellent oral and technical writing skills

Key Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Architect and define end-to-end systems solution for L2/L3 network operations automation capabilities
  • Define OSS applications features requirements to drive the DevOps Trains for software development
  • Collaborate and lead technical discussions across the Mobility Services team, the Network Infrastructure team and the Operations teams
  • Participate in or lead project meetings to report progress, discuss issues and resolutions, and ensure solution requirements are met

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline e.g. Computer Science, or Engineering.

Our Principal Member of Technical Staff earn between $180,200.00 - $270,400.00 USD Annual USD, annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
