This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Quality and Audit (Quality Director) to support our US Advisory and Planning team. The candidate may work out of any WSP US office.

Your Impact:
- Partner with the US Quality Director to implement the US Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Manual for your Business Line.
- Lead the Business Line Quality Support team to improve governance and compliance.
- Support the development and implementation of national quality procedures and tools.
- Support the development, design, and roll out of a national quality management system, providing guidance to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and assurance at all levels of the business including Corporate Document Management.
- Conduct drop-in assessments and support the internal audit program, including audit corrective action plans.
- Develop performance and reporting mechanisms/tools, auditing to ensure business line compliance with National and Global Quality requirements.
- Assist in the development, rollout and tracking of targets and objectives to ensure the business achieves its strategic aims and successfully delivers on the quality policy.
- Work as part of the National team ensuring a safe environment for all our employees situated in a WSP office and/or client/project office.
- Promote a positive, health, safety environment & quality culture.
- Support the business line with project quality and proposals.
- Coach project teams on developing, guiding, and verifying the implementation of project quality plans, as well as escalating audit corrective action plans as needed.
- Assist with business line operations to monitor and report on compliance and progress through regular audits.
- Participate in select Monthly Project Reviews (MPRs) and engage in recovery efforts where needed.
- Establish and support workflows for quality engagement in pursuits and project delivery.
- Collaborate with technical leaders on standards and best practices for implementation specific to design services.
- Identify training needs in collaboration with operations leaders and deliver as required.
- Report quality concerns, gaps, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to the Quality Director.
- Promote, guide, and document award program nominations.
- Coordinate with project managers (PMs) and project directors (PDs) to ensure client surveys are conducted in a timely manner.
- Perform and document root cause analysis, lessons learned, and best practice reviews as needed to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide early notification to the Quality Director on projects with quality concerns or issues.
- Facilitate quality training for all new employees and refresher training at required intervals.
- Meet and report regularly with the Quality Director to review metrics, schedules, action items, and follow-ups.
- Support national and global quality-related continual improvement initiatives.
- Participate in project management and planning meetings.
- Share knowledge with peers.
- Demonstrate commitment to staying current with emerging practices and technical knowledge.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 12 years of experience in the field of Quality in multi-disciplinary activities, including Construction, Engineering, and Project Management.
- 5+ years in a management role working closely with leadership teams.
- Working knowledge of Business Line projects and programs.
- Working knowledge of HSEQ integrated systems.
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Adept at using Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
