Definition of Class

This position provides online pre-enrollment and student support for prospective students. The incumbent serves as point of contact for prospective students for various online academic programs and advises prospective students regarding the admission process, pre-requisites and other program requirements.

Examples of Work Performed

  • Serves as a point of contact for prospective students of various online academic programs.
  • Manages the progress of applications and provides updates to students, as needed.
  • Assists in the planning, implementation, and execution of marketing and recruitment materials and strategies for online academic programs.
  • Develops and engages in effective communication strategies for the recruitment of prospective graduate students.
  • Provides appropriate follow-up communication with prospective students regarding general inquires on course content, student services, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Analyzes marketing data to identify target markets, track prospective student related data, and distribute marketing material.
  • Executes assigned portions of marketing strategies for prospective online student conversion across the applicant life cycle.
  • Utilizes technology systems to track the student journey, including CRM, LMS, and other systems.
  • Coordinates the collaboration of resources for online academic programs and serves as a liaison between students and other support departments.
  • Remains proficient in knowledge of financial aid opportunities and other online student resources.
  • Performs related or similar duties as required or assigned.

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

  1. Serves as point of contact for prospective students regarding the admission process, pre-requisites and other program requirements.
  2. Collaborates with schools/colleges and academic departments to stay abreast of relevant program information and resources, and connects students to appropriate personnel for support.
  3. Assists with the planning, development, and implementation of recruitment strategies and materials for online academic programs.

Minimum Education/Experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Higher Education, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.

 

AND

 

Experience:
Four (4) years of experience related to the above described duties.

 

Substitution Statement:
Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
