As a Packer, you’ll ensure precise weighing, filling, and labeling of liquid chemicals while maintaining inventory and quality control through MES and SAP systems. You’ll uphold strict safety protocols, use equipment properly, and collaborate with your team to maintain a clean, organized workspace—all while adhering to quality standards and PPE requirements.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Accurately weigh and fill liquid chemical materials into containers according to instructions and recipes.
  • Follow packing procedures including scanning to validate materials, precision weighing using weight assisted computer (WAC), testing scales, using correct scales, etc.
  • Utilization of computer systems Weight Assisted Computer (WAC); Manufacturing Execution System (MES); and SAP
  • Use SAP to inventory containers, inputting total actual amount packed, confirm actual pack-out and scrap loss, confirm delivery quantity matches confirmed quantity
  • Strict adherence to labeling protocol, including printing/reprinting Labels, selecting label sizes according to container types, proper placement of labels on containers, proper disposal of extra or ruined labels
  • Close containers including, properly crimping containers, and apply tamper evidence seals

You bring

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent or prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1-year chemical manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
  • Must be able to tolerate strong odors and allergens
  • Ability to be on your feet for 8-hour shift
  • Frequently lift a 35 lb. product hose · Frequently move, lift, pull & push up to 50 lbs.

 

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $23.00.
