Join our innovative team in San Francisco as a Senior Scientist and play a pivotal role in driving our pre-clinical pipeline forward! At the forefront of cutting-edge research, our Cardiometabolic Therapeutic Area team is dedicated to understanding the complexities of disease biology and discovering novel therapeutics. In this vital role you will collaborate with a team of world-class scientists, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to make a real impact on patients' lives.

• Design and perform laboratory-based assays to deepen our understanding of cardiometabolic disease biology

• Screen and evaluate potential therapeutics to advance the pre-clinical pipeline

• Utilize your expertise to generate CRISPR-edited stable cell lines and explore disease mechanisms through single-cell transcriptomics and other omics data sets

• Apply your knowledge of rodent handling and dosing techniques to support in vivo studies

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate Degree (PhD)

Or

• Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience

Or

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in designing and executing FACS panels and conducting routine flow-based expression analysis.

• Extensive experience in high-throughput cell-based assays, including live cell imaging and image processing, qPCR, ddPCR, Western Blot, and ELISA

• Hands-on expertise with CRISPR technology for generating stable cell lines

• Experience with single-cell transcriptomics or other omics data for disease pathology and novel target identification (preferred)

• Basic rodent handling and dosing experience, including SQ, IP, IV dosing, and end-point necropsy

• Prior industry experience is a plus

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
