About the role

POSITION OVERVIEW

NBME is seeking a new Senior Innovation Product Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for expanding NBME's portfolio by focusing on the development of new products, services, or processes that contribute to an increase in market leadership. They will lead products and initiatives of high complexity that require significant inter-team and cross-functional collaboration to execute and/or are new and groundbreaking and can serve as models for future development and standardization across the unit. Additionally, they will foster individual and collective creativity and establish processes and procedures for ideation and prototyping.

This role has been designated as primarily remote, meaning it requires little to no onsite attendance. While this role can be designated as remote, you are offered the flexibility to select if you prefer to work primarily remotely, hybrid, or onsite. We're open to considering candidates within 50 miles of our office location in Philadelphia, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stay abreast on a wide range of issues related to testing, medical education/healthcare, and assessment for learning; share knowledge for the benefit of other staff and provide mentorship as appropriate on translating knowledge into strategy.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of NBME products and services and assessment enhancements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to present product-related information and presentations in a well-organized and informative manner.
  • Implement program plans as specified in roadmap and contract(s), while adhering to critical milestone dates and establishing best practice protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure product specifications such as roadmaps, project documentation, contracts, addenda, and cost-effective budgets are effectively communicated and monitored to all appropriate staff.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective use of resources and budgets.
  • Confirm projects related to strategic initiatives are planned, documented, and implemented.
  • Certify that best practice protocols and procedures are established and maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of launching new product(s) or significant overhauls to existing product(s); leading and organizing intensive market research/pilot/testing efforts; coordinating Agile experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing vendor and partner relationships.
  • Strategic and technical product management experience, preferably in healthcare, medical education, education and/or assessment.
  • Strong team orientation, project management and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within diverse cross-functional groups and diverse external stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong critical thinking, problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and secure materials appropriately.
  • Proficient in the use of project planning software and budget management.
  • Broad knowledge base in all aspects of testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring new projects from concept to pre-launch or market introduction stage.
  • Attention to detail.

Experience

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in program/product management preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required and relevant master's degree desired.
