Inspection Technical Specialist-NDT

The NDT Level II/Inspection Technical Specialist conducts training of production employees in various methods of NDT Inspection, Machining, and/or Hardbanding.  They shall be familiar with the quality management system (QMS) and will perform audits of the same.  Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.  

Responsibilities:

• Familiar with NDT Inspections (MT (magnetic particle testing), UT (ultrasonic testing), PT (liquid penetrant testing), MFL (magnetic flux leakage), VT (visual testing), Phased Array, etc.)
• Conduct classroom and practical training in multiple methods/techniques
• Perform internal QMS and Process audits
• Interact with Engineering on new equipment design and acceptance
• Evaluate equipment to meet industry requirements
• Support the facility in external audit processes

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an NDT Level II in MT, UT and PT
• Willingness to pursue ASNT NDT Level III certification in MT, UT, PT, MFL and VT
• High school diploma or GED Required (some college preferred)
• Hold or willingness to obtain auditing credentials
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Approximately 25 to 30% domestic/international travel
• Excellent computer literacy
• Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASNT, ASTM, ISO, etc.
• Excellent communication skills. Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required
