Overview
The role of the Senior Living Lifestyle Counselor is responsible for meeting /exceeding sales goals and managing all activities associated with the sales process from initial contact with a prospective resident through closing the sale and ultimately move-in. This will include ability to effectively articulate the Otterbein value proposition, develop and manage large leads database, public speaking and represent Otterbein at various public functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute a detailed prospect "Sales Plan" for unoccupied Otterbein Independent Living residences.
- Continually update an accurate contact management database, with all activity such as walk-ins, calls, letters, invitations, etc. and analyze and use data to drive sales results.
- Build relationships with existing and new prospective residents and move them effectively through the Otterbein "Sales Funnel."
- Answer incoming calls and take walk-ins, conduct campus tours, sales calls, home visits, luncheons, and all duties related to lead generation and follow-up.
- Effectively communicate information and answer questions pertaining to financial and admission requirements and documentation for prospective residents.
- Develop a detailed understanding of prospective resident's needs and work with Enviornmental Services to prepare the residence to meet these needs.
- Demonstrate exceptional hospitality through interacting positively with visitors, residents, family members and community members and be able to effectively address a variety of issues and circumstances, representing Otterbein SeniorLife in a positive light.
- Develop and strengthen collaborative working relationships with internal departments and staff including identifying and helping address areas of improvement to enhance the quality of living at Otterbein.
- Assist Marketing Director in coordination and roles in marketing/admission and community events and encourage participation of prospective residents. Additionally, focus on maintaining and enhancing external marketing efforts.
- Effectively use all systems/programs utilized in the community's sales and operations efforts, including PCC (EHR), Sherpa (CRM tool), Salesmail, Hubspot, and others as necessary.
- Meet/exceed sales goals, including meet/exceed Marketing Metrics & Critical Success Factors including:
- Productive sales calls
- Effective appointments and/or tours
- Call to Appointment ratio met
- Deposits received
- Appointment to Sale ratio met
- Sales Closed/Move-ins
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with older persons, who may be ill, disabled and/or emotional.
- Remain current with industry sales trends and current state of economy and resultant effect on potential sales (i.e. nation-wide and local competitors)
- Lead a successful sales campaign for independent living expansion(s)
Qualifications
- Education: B.S.; Marketing or Business Management preferred, or equivalent sales experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of successful track record in sales/sales management experience preferably in retirement community, residential sales, or related fields
