About the role
Definitive Logic is looking for a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our team in the development and deployment of resource systems for DHS.The professional will be a full-time, remote employee that is part of an agile team of developers who are responsible for the development and deployment of new modules to an existing, customized business application serving the Army Human Resources community application.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a highly rewarding work environment that presents numerous training and professional growth opportunities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Designs software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules for customers· Codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules for customers· Adheres to product build and release schedules and strategies· Tests and debugs complex software components and units· Acts as a technical resource for lower-level developers and may be assigned lead developer role for small-to-medium sized projects- Collaboratively work as part of an agile team with participation in regular, recurring Scrum events (e.g., Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective)- Adhere to product build and release schedules, strategies, and other team norms- Design, write, test, troubleshoot, and document application code to successfully satisfying the team’s Definition of Done to deliver project-based work using Microsoft Power Platform Dataverse and Power Automate- Codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development schedules for customers- Ability to perform unit, system, interface, and other testing associated with the application and its corresponding system interface areas, as well as provide guidance and assistance to client staff to support these testing activities- Collaborate with other members of the development team and program team to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting project timelines- Learn new technologies, build awareness of industry standards, best practices, and trends. Share this knowledge with the Scrum team and broader program team- Ability to contribute to a variety of roles in software development, such as requirements definition, systems analysis, architecture, design, development, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation- Train and support clients on using solutions built using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate- Develop and update project related process documents, artifacts, and training materials- Track work using a ticketing/issue management system (i.e., currently Azure DevOps)

Required Qualifications
- Active Interim Secret clearance or higher, or ability to obtain
- Bachelor's Degree
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (current or obtained within 30 days of employment)
- 5+ years developing, configuring, deploying and/or migrating applications using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Pages) Dataverse, and Power Automate
- 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Azure Storage, Azure Development and Configuration, Azure Active Directory (AD), and SQL Server-based web applications
- 5+ years’ experience in software design & development, including leveraging Web Services and APIs
- Strong experience in JavaScript, especially using one or more modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
- Extensive experience working as part of a Scrum (or other an agile framework)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in designing web applications, REST APIs and database schema with UI/UX focus
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
