About the role
The Summit Advisory Team is a niche consulting firm that provides consulting and implementation services specializing in supply chain and omnichannel. Summit Advisory Team was acquired by Simpler Postage dba Easypost in July 2022 and is now operating as our consulting arm here at Easypost.
This team comprises experienced industry and technology professionals who have extensive firsthand experience. Rather than offering distant advice, this team collaboratively engages with our clients to tackle challenges offering tailored solutions specific to our clients’ needs. Our primary focus lies in addressing business needs, underscored by a strong emphasis on setting and measuring appropriate goals. This team ensures that any changes implemented are seamlessly integrated into the areas undergoing transformation.
The Summit Advisory Team business model is based on long-term relationships and direct referrals so we aim to partner with clients to improve their business rather than to sell services that may not be needed. Our clients are typically B2C or B2B businesses, primarily in retail but also spanning healthcare and food & nutrition.
About the role:Summit Advisory Team is looking for a resource to support a retail client with a space and planogram implementation. This is a contract role, beginning April 1 through December 2024 with the possibility of an extension into 2025.
What you will do:o Manage current and New Store Planograms/Assortmentso Collaborate with the merchandising team to plan product assortments, promotions, and seasonal displays for new stores in 2024 and 2 existing stores.o Work to translate the assortment and layout information to a third-party agency to planogram in software.o Facilitate the creative submission process for all related graphics for the associated planograms.o Manage the new product innovation process. Work with Merch teams, planning, and third party agency to update planograms monthly with new product innovation.o Conduct larger scale updated to stores three times a year.o Work with partners to monitor and track the performance of planograms through sales metrics, inventory turnover rates, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.o Implement new Planogramming Systemo Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, merchandising, store operations, and training, to define project requirements, goals, and success criteria.o Select and manage external vendors and partners for system integration, training, and support, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.o Conduct thorough assessments of current planogram processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.o Lead cross-functional project teams to configure, test, and deploy the new planogram system, addressing any technical issues, user feedback, or system enhancements as needed.o Set up product, fixture, visual, and store parameters in the new system (create fixtures, store layouts, etc.).o Partner with the Change Management Lead to develop and deliver training programs and materials for store associates and managers on the new planogram system, ensuring a smooth transition and adoption
About you:o Experience collaborating with Merchandising Teams on space and planogram strategies.o Experience with Blue Yonder, Relex or similar space planning and planogramming tools is required.o Experience with health and beauty retailers is desirable.o Excellent communication skills; highly collaborative and able to work remotely with project teams and vendor partnerso Attention to detail is a musto Able to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work products with little supervisiono Position is primarily remote. Some onsite work may be needed during key phases of the project.
