About the role

The Service Asset and Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for ensuring management and control of the enterprise asset portfolio to optimize the value, cost, and risk of digital assets both hardware and software. They will track, help maintain, and coordinate asset life management in accordance with the organization’s asset management policies. The Crew member will also contribute to CMDB related activities when applicable.

 

In this role you will:

  • IT Asset Lifecycle Management (LCM)
  • Owns and enhances the data supporting LCM reporting to support the Information Technology (IT) organization to make informed and accurate data driven decisions.
  • Monitors and reconciles a wide variety of IT assets and their usage, including but not limited to, server, storage, middleware, database, and desktop hardware and software to mitigate compliance risks and reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
  • Contributes to the continued development and implementation of enterprise-wide IT asset management policies and procedures which minimizes compliance risk, enhances the program, and creates process efficiencies.
  • Supports IT asset management tools, processes, and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key asset data.
  • Responds to requests from Software, Hardware and Application Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT asset management data. Builds diverse and inclusive relationships for the betterment of the team, department, and the firm.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

 

What it takes:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology, Business, or 5 years equivalent work experience 5+ years’ experience in Hardware and Software lifecycle management. Proficient knowledge of ServiceNow, advanced knowledge of the SAM Pro / HAM Pro modules. Advanced knowledge of IT Asset Management principals / practices

Project management experience / ServiceNow PPM module Understanding and ability to buildout ServiceNow Asset Management dashboards to improve reporting Familiarity with hardware and software technology and configurations including virtualization and versioning

Understanding of IT asset contractual agreements and compliancy Experience with and understands Configuration Management (CMDB) / ServiceNow Common Services Data Model (CSDM)

Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate substantial amounts of information Proven record of accomplishment in solving problems, engaging, and encouraging others in a collaborative work style to resolve problems. Excels at organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient presentation skills; can present and tell a story to various levels within the organization able to breakdown complex ideas/scenarios into smaller, simpler components
