Location - Virgina Beach, VA - 3 days a week onsite

General Description

The senior accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparing financial reports and analyses.
• Performing account reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger.
• Preparing tax returns and documentation for external auditors.
• Coordinating and assisting with audit preparations.
• Work with CSC to file all state registrations.
• Assist with the administration of company insurance policies
• Other financial duties as assigned by Director, Finance.

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting field 
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience with ERP systems; SAGE Intaact preferred
• Global Non-Profit finance and accounting experience a plus
