Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Environmental Safety & Health Specialist Intern. In this role, you will Support the Aeronautics Environmental Safety & Health Department through completion of various compliance tasks, site communications, ESH program enhancements and records management.

Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, or a related technical field.

Familiarity with OSHA regulations, including workplace safety standards and compliance fundamentals.

Familiarity with EPA regulations, including basic environmental protection requirements and reporting standards.

Desired skills

Experience implementing safety program process improvements, conducting root cause analysis, understanding and implementation of Federal, State and Local Regulations.

Strong communication, prioritization, strategic and problem solving skills.

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Experience conducting safety inspections, risks assessments and corrective actions.

Ability to maintain safety records, incident reports and communicate ESH policies.
