<p>THE ROLE </p><p>As a <strong>Senior Consultant</strong> at Quantis you will be accountable for the quality of project deliverables for your clients and for <strong>business development. </strong>Your major responsibilities will be as follows:  </p><ul><li>Develop credible, trusted relationships with senior client contacts in the sector of Chemicals and Industrial Goods and nurture them into more significant relationships</li></ul><ul> <li>Lead clients through setting and building sustainability strategies as part of projects, including as an active delivery team member, or as a project manager</li> <li>Advocate for project / scope / team in face of client demands </li> <li>Proactively identify client needs, propose solutions and manage clients</li> <li>Manage projects  </li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>You will be successful in your role if you: </strong></p><ul><li>Are seen as an effective project team leader </li></ul><ul><li>Build a good understanding of client-specific business models, goals and challenges </li></ul><ul><li>Simultaneously manage multiple projects by reliably delivering time / cost / budget while also protecting team workloads </li></ul><ul><li>Actively participate and contribute to sector development initiatives </li></ul><ul><li>Initiate discussions with clients about ambitious sustainability transformations </li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p>DOES THIS DESCRIBE YOU AND YOUR NEXT ROLE? </p><ul><li>You’re motivated to put your consulting skills and sustainability experience to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries. </li></ul><ul><li>For <strong>5+ years </strong>you’ve been sharpening your project management skills and sustainability expertise in a professional setting in the private sector, ideally with some experience in consulting, where you’ve developed an appetite for business development. </li></ul><ul><li>You have strong <strong>project management skills,</strong> and can organise workload, project streams and priorities to deliver in a timely manner. </li></ul><ul><li>You have previous exposure to sustainability topics, especially in the <strong>chemical industry</strong>  </li></ul><ul><li>You have the capacity to listen to client needs to create and communicate creative and adapted solutions. </li></ul><ul><li>You have a good understanding of thechemical sector and the related challenges &amp; opportunities relevant to <strong>sustainability topics</strong>, ideally with a good <strong>network</strong>. </li></ul><ul><li>You have a Master’s degree in business, engineering or science. </li></ul><ul><li>You’re motivated for teamwork and able to integrate and work with a diverse team, including a range of scientific and creative profiles.  </li></ul><ul><li>You believe in the power of science and get excited about guiding companies to understand and design transformative and science-based strategy.  </li></ul><ul><li>You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li></ul><ul><li>You communicate effectively in fluent English. Fluency in German is highly desired. </li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>AS A SENIOR CONSULTANT - CHEMICALS AND INDUSTRIAL GOODS, HERE’S A PREVIEW OF WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOUR DAYS WILL INCLUDE: </strong></p><p>Manage and deliver client project work related to chemicals and industrial goods:  </p><ul><li> <strong>Deliver and support projects</strong>, which focus can span from footprinting to target setting and implementation of actions </li></ul><ul><li> <strong>Manage all aspects of client projects from project scoping to crafting solutions </strong>to developing high-standard, timely deliverables, ensure project profitability and efficiency </li></ul><ul><li> <strong>Build, develop and manage efficient and balanced consultant projects teams</strong>, including providing growth opportunities and constructive feedback for a more performing team </li></ul><ul><li>Proactively identify, communicate and autonomously resolve project risks, within the project team and with the client </li></ul><ul><li>Recognize and fill skill / knowledge gaps in project team </li></ul><ul><li>Identify process or system improvements that could improve project team effectiveness </li></ul><p> </p><p>Business development:  </p><ul><li>Develop and manage existing and new client relations across the chemicals and industrial goods sectors, including through meeting prospects, writing proposals and presenting to potential clients </li></ul><ul><li>Contribute to communications and marketing strategies and actions </li></ul><ul><li>Proactively identify client needs and propose solutions involving one or more standard offerings and win multiple projects per year </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in co-designs of solutions and proposals with other team members including experts and other strategists </li></ul><ul><li>Provide reliable proposal quality review </li></ul><ul><li>Build and nurture optimal and trustful client and industry relationships </li></ul
