Automotive Shop Lead

The Automotive Shop Lead will be responsible for providing administrative support to the business. This position will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers, and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities.

Requirements

• Process invoices, manage paperwork, and maintain databases.
• Manage vendor relationships and liaise with external vendors and service providers.
• Act as liaison between Operations Department and Office Team.
• Answer questions regarding products, services, orders, etc.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering necessary supplies, parts, and equipment to support repair operations efficiently.
• Answering telephone calls and emails from customers and vendors
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Process shop work orders in Fleet Maintenance System Mitchell
• Assign and communicate purchase orders for outside service and/or equipment parts
• Responsible for estimating and quoting repair jobs accurately, considering factors such as parts, labor, and materials, to provide competitive pricing
• Issue Purchase Orders to outside vendors
• Manage employee time sheets
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 2+ years in a shop or service center environment

Skills:

·         Bilingual – Spanish speaking (Highly preferred)

·         Fleet/Automotive Shop experience (Highly preferred)

·         Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

·         Ability to work with confidential information/material

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·         Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.

·         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
