Personal Lines Assistant Client Service Specialist

Description

This position can be based out of any of Marshall & Sterling's New York Downstate offices.

Primary Function:

Provide superior service and administrative support to department.

Major Responsibilities:

· Assist with phone reception duties, mail & administrative functions.

· Work in conjunction with CSS to provide service to clients; copying, scanning, process payments, call clients on cancellations, ordering of supplies, physical damage inspections, etc.

· Process transactions carefully paying attention to detail on a timely basis to minimize the potential for any errors and omissions exposure.

· Issue Binders, ID Cards and other requests for proof of insurance.

· Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationships with staff members.

· Process daily reports and downloads

· Document in management system all conversations with clients and/or carriers pertaining to coverages and exposures.

· Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.

· Promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims.

· Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.

· Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.

· Perform other duties an projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with AMS 360 a plus
• NYS insurance broker's license required within a year.
• Positive attitude, works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, colleagues and individuals outside the company.
• High level of organizational ability with attention to detail.

Salary Range is $37,500 - $42,500.

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
