Job Summary
Responsibilities
Conduct isolation and preparation of cfDNA samples and gDNA from tissue and assist in the preparation of samples for sequencing.
Assist in developing, operating, and maintaining tissue culture, associated support equipment, and consumables.
Assist lab members in preparing and conducting experiments, following established procedures or protocols, and assisting the supervisor with research projects.
Oversee and administer laboratory stocks of reagents and supplies. Assisting in ordering all materials needed for research.
Assist in technical support for laboratory equipment.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
Experience:
Maintaining laboratory stocks of supplies and reagents.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Molecular biology and genomics.
Preferred Competencies
Background in molecular biology.
Attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
Wet Laboratory environment.
