The Team:

The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital and is located in the heart of the city centre.  Our midwives work across multiple models of care providing antenatal care to women in community and within the Women's Health Clinic hub.

The Role:

This role is focused on provision of maternity care within an outpatient setting and encompasses working as an integral member of a multi disciplinary team across all aspects of antenatal care including Midwifery models of care, specialist clinics and maternal fetal medicine.

You will need:

1. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting.
2. Ability to undertake client education in the practice setting, together with a commitment to participate in ongoing professional development.
3. Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
