About the role

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an accomplished Senior Director of Global Physical Security Operations to lead and advance the protection of our cloud operations worldwide. In this critical role, you will own the strategy, execution, and ongoing performance of Oracle’s physical security program, ensuring the continuity and resilience of OCI’s global data centers and facilities. You will lead global teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive operational excellence, customer impact prevention, and 24x7 protection for OCI’s critical assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in physical security operations or critical infrastructure protection, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global guard force programs, GSOC operations, and large-scale incident or crisis response.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute global strategy, lead distributed teams, and manage complex vendor contracts and service level agreements.
  • Experience designing and tracking operational KPIs, driving measurable improvements, and preventing service or customer impact.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels and geographies.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, data center environments, or highly regulated settings is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Live Site Protection: Responsible for end-to-end physical security operations and risk mitigation for all OCI sites globally, ensuring continuous protection of assets, personnel, and data.
  • Global Guard Force Strategy: Develop and execute a unified global strategy for guard services, including contract negotiations, vendor management, performance benchmarking, and compliance with Oracle’s security standards.
  • GSOC Operations: Lead Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) activities, delivering 24x7 monitoring, rapid incident detection, response, and escalation coverage.
  • Incident Response & Crisis Management: Oversee incident response and crisis management protocols, ensuring swift resolution and thorough root cause analysis for all physical security events.
  • Site Readiness, Drills, and Resilience: Ensure ongoing readiness across all locations through risk assessments, security drills, training, and proactive resilience planning.
  • Operational KPIs & Customer-Impact Prevention: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), drive continuous improvement, and proactively identify and mitigate risks to prevent customer-impacting incidents.
  • Engage with internal and external partners, including cross-functional OCI leadership, Legal, Compliance, and external law enforcement or agencies, as required.
  • Champion a culture of safety, security, and operational excellence across teams globally.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
