Production Planner

 
1.    Reports to Demand and Materials Manager.  Position requires the ability to effectively use and implement planning parameters, business planning and integration techniques, and a high degree of turbomachinery product and manufacturing process knowledge.

The position is responsible for strategic planning, detailed scheduling, rough-cut capacity planning, capacity requirements planning, material analysis and planning, new product introduction, change control coordination and execution, purchase part requisitioning, supplier scheduling, lead time reduction, inactive and obsolete inventory dispositions, systems data integrity, and effective measurements.

Major challenges include developing a stable and responsive schedule in multiple areas in accordance with the first level MPS by balancing supply with demand to meet customer requirements, sourcing decisions, supplier partnering, logistics, and cost analysis. Major emphasis to be placed on increasing manufacturing throughput, reducing lead time, increasing inventory turns, and improving customer satisfaction.
