Senior Back-end Developer (Java)

On behalf of our client, a leading global platform for flights and an exclusive partner for the biggest online booking platform, we are currently looking for an influencing and motivated Senior Back-end Java Developer to join one of the company’s development teams.

A day in the life of a 'Senior Back-end Java Developer '

You will be an expert in Software Development, and able to design your code with performance and quality in mind. You must have the hunger to learn and share your knowledge within an agile development team.

Your day-to-day

• You will be part of a team, who designs and implements features for the back-end system
• You will test your code and write automated tests
• You will be reviewing code, and your code will be reviewed
• As part of the team, you will participate in the collaborative team activities
• Contribute to overall strategic direction and roadmaps, working together with heads of engineering and product managers

Requirements

• You are a back-end developer with 7+ years of previous working experience on the Java stack
• You have hands-on experience with at least one large-scale, high-volume production environment
• You write code, which is both readable and performant, and, you feel right at home with OOP, multi-tier architecture
• You are an advocate of commonly used Design Patterns and SOLID Principles, and, deliver code that is well-tested and well-documented
• You have a positive mindset, and you are motivated by challenging projects; new and existing
• You know about Web Services development and integration with at least one of SOAP and REST, GraphQL
• You have excellent communication skills in English
• You have a legal permit to work in Greece
