• Working at our Pop-up blood donation sites across the vibrant Western Australia state. We plan to cover metropolitan areas, as well as regional & rural travel such as Geraldton and Kalgoorlie

About the role 

 

Our Western Australia Popups are seeking Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses & Donor Service Nursing Assistants with fantastic customer-facing experience and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors to cover regional sites across the state. As a Lifeblood team member, you will support our donors through their donation process, while working collaboratively to achieve collection targets through multiple locations.

 

A day in the role will be :

 

• Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate 
• Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests 
• Set up machines, various tubing and collection bags 
• Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets 
• Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation

 

Our paid training program which will take place at Perth CBD, has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported.

These are 12 months Fixed term -full time/part time roles and we are open considering around hours and availability. In addition to this, our rosters are designed way in advance to help cover work-life balance.

 

Besides having a real passion to deliver an amazing donor experience, you’ll need to be able to:  

 

• Comfortable traveling to long distances/Popup Sites (Flights & accommodation provided)
• Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs 
• Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products. 
• Use your nursing expertise and hold a current AHPRA registration for Enrolled Nurse & Registered Nurse position.
