The Machine Operator supports the production department by setting up and operating machines, engraves, packages, as well as inspects parts.
The hours for this shift are: 3:00 am - 1:30 pm.
What you'll do:
- Work to exacting tolerances on basic CNC machinery
- Operate engraving machine ensuring product meets specification
- Ensure parts are defect free and meet quality standard
- Package parts for shipping
- Sets up and operates machines and equipment other than machine tools
What you'll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior shop or mechanical experience desired
- The ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tools
- The ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:
- Clear communication, both oral and written
- Organization skills; keep area clean to 5S standards
- Meets productivity standards by completing work in a timely manner
- Must have a desire to learn basic CNC machining
Mental/Visual/Physical Effort:
- Walks, stands, reaches, and bends frequently. Periodic lifting of moderate to heavy items may be required. Possesses good hand/eye coordination.
Physical Hazards:
- Normal operations require eye protection, steel toed footwear, and occasionally hand protection.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to normal machine shop environment with periodic noise. Limited disagreeable factors present.
Work Arrangement: onsite
