Senior Data Analyst

JOB TITLE: Prezi, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Data Analyst in Oakland, CA.
Telecommuting Position. Can work from anywhere in the US.

DUTIES: Work cross-functionally supporting Marketing, Product, Finance, Sales, and Strategic Account
departments with end-to-end data analysis from conception (requirements specification) to building
datasets through ETL jobs, building dashboards, and external presentation. Become trusted business partner
to various departments within organization by providing consistent high-quality data support and
recommendations. Provide high quality insights through deep-dive analyses, creating data visualizations
and dashboards for KPI performance monitoring and future self-service. Work with large, unstructured
datasets from disparate sources (S3, raw logs, Hive/Redshift tables) to form foundational datasets,
comprehensive analysis, and recommendations. Using ETL experience, build and maintain data pipelines
using business logic; continuously iterate on datasets to improve our reliability, quality, and accuracy of
what is being used to make decisions. Have comprehensive understanding of A/B testing and product
experimentation framework and ability to explain complex statistical methodology as digestible takeaways

- confidence intervals, minimum detectable effect, Z/T-tests. Foster a healthy data culture and enable self-
service data throughout the company by training and mentoring others to properly consume and analyze

metrics. Understand the business deeply and the impact of product and marketing flows, audiences, and
pathways. Proactively discover hidden relationships within data, solve difficult analytical

REQUIRES: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in a Computer Science, Engineering,
Information Technology, or related field*, plus three (3) years of data analysis experience in the SaaS or
B-to-C technology space. Experience may pre-date degree.
*Where degree is unrelated employer will accept an additional one (1) year of data analysis experience in
the SaaS or B-to-C technology space.
Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Experience must include:
1. Three (3) years of experience with SQL writing complex queries across disparate data
sources/structures and optimizing queries for performance, build tables, window functions, CTEs,
and UDFs.
2. Three (3) years of experience with Data visualization by building visualizations to present
distributions, trends, and KPI performance impact to stakeholders across all levels.
3. Three (3) years of experience with A/B testing, understanding of experimentation best-practices,
confidence intervals, statistical significance, Z/T tests and related analysis.
4. Three (3) years of experience with Data presentations and storytelling and presenting data-driven
results and recommendations using a structured format to illustrate analysis and key takeaways to
broad audiences, from individual contributors to executives.

5. Three (3) years of experience with Mode Analytics or similar BI tools by building dashboards from
scratch and tailoring reporting by audience type from CEO/Executive level to ICs across the
organization.
6. Three (3) years of experience with ETL building daily jobs and transforming/loading data for
various reporting use-cases using industry-leading data orchestration tools.
7. Two (2) years of experience with Python performing data manipulation, cleansing, and
building/running prediction models.
8. Two (2) years of experience with Hadoop with working knowledge of mapreduce and building of
Hive tables.
9. One (1) year of experience with Spark or pyspark to build ETL jobs extracting data from disparate
data sources, including S3, relational databases, and raw logs.
10. One (1) year of experience with Apache Zeppelin using notebook solution for technical
collaboration and sharing visualizations with stakeholders.

$153,800.00 - $192,300.00 per year.
