Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, you will will be paired with more experienced Cyber engineers in performing cyber security system lifecycle tasks including: system security assessments, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) hardening and evaluation, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifact maintenance. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of cyber industry/DoD best practices for confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems, familiarity with STIGS, and basic understanding of NIST standards. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

-Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
-Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
-Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or others)

Desired skills

-Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
-Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+ or others)
-Experience and knowledge of basic software practices such as scripting and configuration management
-Experience with RMF, STIGs, and/or DoD systems
