Internship Program Overview
At ServiceNow, we’re looking for students who want to learn, grow, and take a giant step early in their careers, all while making a giant impact. We offer 12-week summer internship opportunities across various business functions.
Interns will participate in executive speaker series, career development workshops, philanthropic efforts, and team-building activities. Additionally, interns will have access to online learnings and a dedicated Summer Coach to further grow their careers with us.

What you’ll be doing, in this specific role:
- Design the natural language processing components of ServiceNow NLU capabilities by enhancing core deep learning algorithms.
- Participate in data collection, creating benchmarks, etc.
- Develop innovative patentable ideas that ensure the competitiveness of this product within the domain of similar work being done in the industry.
- Advance the natural language capabilities of the ServiceNow platform.
- Bring intelligence to customer workflows by leveraging their individual data.
- Structured data (workflow state evolution, database tables).
- Unstructured data (utterances, descriptions, documents).
- Write, debug, and test using a mix of JavaScript and server-side Java.
- Implement web interfaces using JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular and CSS
Qualifications
Who you are:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Graduating no earlier than December 2024
- Solid Machine learning/Deep learning theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
- Experience using embeddings (context-aware embeddings/multi-model embeddings).
- Solid practical experience to systematically approach, design, and build a machine learning/deep learning solution, evaluate it, and productionize it.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Python
- Familiarity with relational databases: SQL, MySQL, Oracle (Optional)
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
- Preferred: Demonstrated software eng
