Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: Responsible for providing administrative and faculty support and guidance to ensure the effective functioning of office administration/operation to include clerical, fiscal responsibility, inventory control, record maintenance, website maintenance, and event organization. Responsible for managing the Center’s scheduling and data reporting software system. Train department staff and assist as needed.
Process insurance claims and payments, post charges using coding system, review outstanding claims and correct/resubmit as necessary, and balance money at the close of business. Assist with check in, schedule appointments, take phone calls, answer billing questions, and assist with duties that come up in the course of the day.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Minimum Work Experience: Three years' progressive office experience, experience with Electronic Medical Records, and experience with medical billing.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claim coding and billing as well as electronic billing systems.
Ability to accurately and efficiently operate departmental equipment to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and e-mail.
Familiarity with HIPAA practices and policies. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Customer and personal service skills to include assessing customer needs and utilizing independent action to provide solutions during stressful situations.
Excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
Time management skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Additional Desirable Qualifications
Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Associate degree in Health Information Processing or similar degree/certificate.
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Budget experience.
Database experience.
Work experience in a mental health practice.
Work experience in a college setting.
