JOB SUMMARY
The Nuclear Medicine Senior Imaging Technologist will coordinate the activities of other Nuclear Medicine personnel for smooth, efficient patient through-put, with maximum patient care and safety. Performs nuclear medicine examinations and must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development and assess data reflective of the patients’ current status in relation to their age specific needs. Responsible for scheduling, counseling and interviewing technologist. Responsible for ordering supplies.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Two-year degree or certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Program deemed by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Associates degree or higher in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent field is preferred.
Licensure: ARRT (N) or CNMT, CPR Required.
Experience: Three to five years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required.
Skills: Personnel supervisory skills, along with all other patient care, scanning, and all other non-supervisory activities are required. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients’ needs that are age appropriate. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Worker is required to be on feet most of the day and work is moderate. Extensive amounts of assisting and supervising are required. Worker must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department without affecting departmental flow. Worker must adjust to performing routine, repetitive tasks under specific supervision. Worker will be performing in a radiation area. Worker will be exposed to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
