Aspora is building a Financial Services platform for immigrants around the world. We are backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, Soma Capital, and are on a mission to simplify global banking as easily as booking an Uber.

We’re first taking on the Indian diaspora - the largest and wealthiest immigrant population. 15 million Non-Resident Indians hold over $1.5T in wealth of which $500B is back in India. They remit $125B back every year and account for 25% of all real estate purchases in India. Yet, the banking experiences of these NRIs are archaic. We’re building a new age platform to service these NRIs with cross border money movement.

About the Role

At Vance, we are redefining global fintech—building seamless, borderless banking experiences for immigrants. As a Mobile SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mobile applications. You will own the end-to-end testing process, from manual testing to automation framework development, and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

📍 Location: Bangalore || 5 days in-office for collaboration and speed

What You’ll Own

• QA Innovation & Strategy – Drive new testing processes, balancing manual and automated testing for optimal coverage.

• Automation Frameworks – Design and develop scalable and robust mobile automation frameworks using Java and Appium.

• Test Infrastructure – Own the entire test lifecycle, ensuring test reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

• Debugging & Issue Resolution – Identify, analyze, and resolve defects using tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler.

• Cross-Platform Mobile Testing – Ensure seamless functionality across iOS and Android using emulators, simulators, and cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, pCloudy, AWS Device Hub).

• End-to-End Test Strategy – Define and execute short-term and long-term test plans for both functional and non-functional testing.

• Product Feedback & Collaboration – Participate in design reviews, proactively identifying potential usability and performance issues.

What We Need

• 3-5 years of dedicated SDET experience, with strong manual and automation testing expertise.

• Deep understanding of mobile testing (iOS & Android) and test automation frameworks.

• Proficiency in Java, Object-Oriented Programming, and basic Data Structures & Algorithms.

• Strong debugging skills with tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler.

• Experience in building mobile automation frameworks from scratch using Java & Appium.

• Hands-on with project management tools (Jira, ClickUp, RallyDev, Linear, etc.).

• Strong ownership mindset—comfortable leading testing initiatives from planning to execution.
