WORK LOCATION: Huntsville, AL FLSA STATUS: Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $77,848 to $105,066 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment. SUMMARY We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive UAS Technical Operations and Logistics Coordinator to oversee the lifecycle management and logistical coordination of uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) platforms and support equipment. This role is critical to ensuring UAS assets are accurately tracked, properly maintained, and consistently mission-ready while supporting internal operations and deployments. RESPONSIBILITIESThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Maintain real-time, digital records for UAS platforms, payloads, batteries, ground control stations, and spare parts.
- Track the full lifecycle of assets from procurement to decommissioning, including usage logs, assignments, and condition status.
- Coordinate and execute inventory audits and asset reporting
- Organize procurement, storage, shipping, receiving, and inter-site transport of UAS assets.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive or regulated components such as lithium batteries and avionics.
- Support field operations by preparing systems for deployment and coordinating logistics for mission support.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure accurate maintenance logs and configuration control documentation.
- Track equipment submitted for RMA repair.
- Ensure all UAS platforms comply with OEM specifications and internal readiness standards.
- Support FAA Part 107 compliance efforts through documentation and audits.
- Maintain battery safety protocols including storage, charging, and disposal.
- Contribute to internal safety reviews and standard operating procedure (SOP) adherence.
- Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in UAS logistics, operations, or technical coordination.
- Familiarity with UAS components including airframes, batteries, payloads, and ground control systems.
- Proficiency with asset tracking and maintenance management software.
- Understanding of FAA regulations (e.g., Part 107) and general aviation safety practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Logistics, or similar
- Certifications in UAS maintenance, electronics, or logistics
- Experience supporting DoD, public safety, or enterprise-level UAS programs.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD documentation and procedures.
- Former U.S. military or special operations experience a plus.
