Your role at Clorox:

As a valued leader at the Forest Park (Main) facility, the Plant/Site Maintenance Manager will be a member of the Site Leadership Team and the Site Steering Committee. This individual will influence the overall direction of the entire site, including, but not limited to, setting the short and long-term objectives, goals, strategies, and metrics, and you will be responsible for the leadership and development of all maintenance teams in the manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute the production maintenance support and the integration of innovation/renovation projects into the factory. 
  • Develop and communicate plans to improve the long-term reliability of the plant utilizing the Clorox Operations Excellence methodology and tools, and communicate plans and results to corporate support groups, plant leadership, and executive visitors.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Plant's maintenance leaders, to include the team that supports plant operations and the team that manages the Maintenance CMMS system, work orders, breakdowns, abnormality tracking, inventory and preventive maintenance.
  • Lead the Asset Care/UDM Implementation Task Force to deliver the plants 5 Year Strategy and provide monthly progress updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement through support of AM activities, training and knowledge transfer.
  • Reinforce the use of Operations Excellence tools to deliver sustainable improvement across the balanced scorecard (People, Safety, Quality, Availability, Cost, Enable Ignite).
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide appropriate feedback, guidance and direction to those responsible for execution of projects.
  • Participate in the maintenance components of the Operations Readiness standard.
  • Support new product initiatives, as needed, to ensure vertical start-ups.
  • Ensure technical support is available, as needed, to help deliver the seamless product, process or capital equipment integration.

What we look for:

  • BS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Relevant work experience will be considered); Professional Engineering (PE) registration is desirable.
  • 8+ years experience in a plant / manufacturing environment, including 5 years in maintenance management with experience leading multi-shift and multi-tiered teams. Project management experience will also be valuable.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including management/control of MRO parts inventories/service work and 5 years’ experience with Maintenance Excellence (PM Pillar, TPM, etc..). A working knowledge of packaging equipment systems, materials and processes, with manufacturing supply chain knowledge preferred.
  • Budget planning with basic accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated technical and operational problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills- both oral and written - with the ability to successfully influence decisions throughout the plant and/or amongst plant leadership throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capabilities including formal performance planning, coaching, disciplinary action, hiring, and change leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability and skills to simultaneously manage safety, quality, environmental, cost and production (managing multiple priorities, multitasking).
  • Have a collaborative work style with teams and support functions including maintenance, engineering, R&D, procurement to develop cost effective and efficient solutions. 
  • Be able to identify, champion and institutionalize new tools, processes, and technologies.

Onsite: This role will be onsite 5 days a week at the Forest Park, GA location.
