Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to be based in our Grand Rapids or Detroit, MI offices. This position will support our Buildings & Places business line.
This position is expected to begin August/September 2023.
The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer will support our support our Buildings & Places business line. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer.
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
- Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry code requirements
- Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical design software
- Work under supervision of a mid or senior-level team member
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or demonstrated equivalency in experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical design software
- Perform lighting design and foot-candle calculations, utilizing light design software
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, AGI 32 and SKM software

- Relocation is not available for this position.

- This is an in-office position. Candidates are expected to reside in the Grand Rapids/Detroit area or relocate if necessary.
