Position Summary:Responsible for grassroots and mid-level donor program, as well as the accuracy and management of all donor records, communications, and reports. Manages the fundraising database, processes gifts, acknowledges donors, and generates reports on activity. Working in collaboration with the CDO, will assist with all development activities including special events, direct response, grant writing/reporting, and donor stewardship.

The pay for this position is $56,000 - $60,000 a year DOE.

Essential Job Functions:

· Plans, implements, and evaluates agency development program:o Supports the CDO in setting fundraising goals for the organization.o Manages grant and foundation funding to include identification of grant funding opportunities, writing, and submitting grant proposals and oversight of grant compliance.o Oversees/expands effectiveness of workplace giving campaigns.o Responsible for donor records: gift entry and response process to assure accuracy and completeness of records; develops plans for management and reporting. o Provides reporting on fundraising activities to the CDO.o Collaborates with CDO, to implement fundraising programs supporting both 501 C3 and 501 C4 Utah Planned Parenthood Entities, including special events, grant writing and reporting and direct response.· Assists the CDO:o Maintains safe and healthy work environment by enforcing policies and procedures, such as emergency evacuation, and adhering to legal requirements.o Maintains current knowledge of development tools, methods, service models, marketing schemes, funding strategies, and other useful innovations developed by PPFA affiliates and other pro-choice and reproductive health organizations. o Maintains strict adherence to standard ethical fundraising practices as stated by PPFA and AFP International.o Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing charitable fundraising and requirements of affiliation with PPFA.o Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops, training, meetings, and other professional/community events. Represents agency goals and mission in the community.· Maintains open lines of communication.· Addresses problems positively and listens non-defensively.· Represents PPAU in a professional and positive manner when dealing with clients, the public, volunteers, interns/externs, donors, and other staff, demonstrating a commitment to quality health care and excellent customer service.· Participates in identifying and improving systems, activities, behaviors, resolving issues, etc. which result in improving quality services. · Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and to PPAU policy.· Attend and participate in all required meetings and training sessions.· Participates in annual team review process.· Understands their responsibility and participates in assuring productivity levels are maintained.· Demonstrates respect for diversity in daily activities.· Meet Agency standards for performance measures and attendance/punctuality.· Performs other duties as required or requested.
- · Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
What we're looking for:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. · 3-5+ years professional fundraising experience required.· Must have experience managing data and lists including database experience (Raiser’s Edge Preferred).· Experience with grant writing/reporting preferred. · Strong writing and editing skills required.· Proven ability to assist in managing a comprehensive fundraising program.We deeply care about our employees and are proud of our commitment and investment in our team.
