The Senior Network Planning Engineer will analyze data from multiple sources including databases, platforms and data warehouses. The role requires expert level experience in statistics, business case development, trend analysis, and elaborate financial modeling capable of multiple scenarios with simultaneous sensitivity analysis on multiple variables. The candidate will use analytical techniques to discover and drive business actionable opportunities to reduce access expense and optimize capital allocation.
Their work will enable Carrier Relations Managers to better understand their market dynamics and equip them with data products to steer strategic decision-making across all organizational levels including officer level. The Senior Network Planning Engineer develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. May conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Studies and forecasts traffic drivers to determine short and/or long term capacity needs for wireless and wireline infrastructure. May include all or some of the following functions: Recommends network architecture planning and network evolution strategy in support of corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic and service reliability criteria; Evaluates new and emerging technologies for addition and/or application of software/hardware to existing network systems;
Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections; Develops simulation models and systems/information technologies for capturing system/network process data; Creates deliverables such as mgmt reports, business cases, infrastructure deployment guidelines, 3 Year Plans, Plans of Record, Project Approval Letters, and Serving Plans; Works with key internal stakeholder and vendors as a point of contact for future business ventures and emerging services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business case development, trend analysis, and elaborate financial modeling capable of multiple scenarios with simultaneous sensitivity analysis on multiple variables. Develop data products to steer strategic decision-making across all organizational levels including officer level
- Analyze data and data pipelining from multiple sources including databases (such as MERV), platforms (such as DEEP) and data warehouses (such as ADW)
- Proactive data insights and analytical techniques to discover and drive business actionable opportunities to reduce access expense and optimize capital allocation.
Job Contribution:
Intermediate level technical professional. Subject matter technical knowledge within a discipline and sound understanding of ATT technologies.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science)
- 5-10 years in the Wholesale Telecom & Access Industry
- 5+ years of advanced Excel, PowerBI or Tableau
- Recommended 3+ years of Python, SQL or other data platforms.
Our Senior Network Planning Eng, earns between $105,600.00-$158,400.00 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
