The Royal Caribbean Group’s Consumer Outreach team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Operational Strategy and Special Programs reporting to the AVP, Contact Centers.

 

Position is onsite and based in Miami and Miramar, FL (Will be required to work out of both locations) 

 

This position encompasses cross-functional responsibilities between Finance and Travel Services. While the primary focus of this position is managing the Corporate Travel Program, the role will also include ensuring accuracy of Travel Services department budgets and forecasts. Role will also support Workplace Solutions Finance Manager with preparation of the monthly forecast and annual plan.  Additionally, the role will assist with G&A monthly variance analysis and communication with international offices.  This role is essential for ensuring that the Travel Services function operates efficiently while aligning with the company's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of financial acumen and travel management expertise, enabling them to deliver exceptional services to customers and optimize financial results for the organization.

 

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage Travel Services budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Review corporate travel data and identify trends to propose policy modifications to executive leadership.
  • Support Workplace Solutions Finance Manager with G&A forecast and annual plan.
  • Perform monthly variance follow up with international offices.

 

 

Financial Data Review:

  • Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures and regulations
  • Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with developing and tracking annual operating Travel Services G&A and Capital budgets.
  • Prepare routine reports on department financial actuals vs. budgets.
  • Prepare Departmental quarterly 10Q/10K Contractual Obligations disclosure.
  • Work with Capital Project Managers to certify capitalization of quarterly activity and provide CIP updates to accounting.

 

Global Corporate Travel Program:

  • Support, maintain, and enhance a comprehensive global corporate travel program from a financial perspective.
  • Support management of the Travel Policy, Expense Report System, and Corporate Card Payment Solution.
  • Identifies best practices and recommends ongoing changes to Travel, Expense and Corporate Card Policy.
  • Document expense reporting requirements, roll out enhancements, and test of functionality prior to roll-out, in conjunction with Audit & Advisory Services, Accounting and IT.

 

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Extract complex volumes of data from various systems.
  • Evaluate and cleanse data to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Provide clear reporting on travel expenditures and trends.
  • Analyze data to make informed recommendations for service, compliance improvements and financial performance.
  • Supports special projects and ad-hoc analysis needs by providing financial controls and analysis.
  • Expense report error handling and processing to ensure reimbursements are provided to the corporate card bank and/or employee in a timely manner.
