Medical Assistant

We are looking for a medical assistant to join our medical staff. You will be responsible for day-to-day operation. As a medical assistant, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations. This position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs
• Prepare patients for examinations
• Assist provider with exams and minor procedures
• Perform basic lab tests and EKGs
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations
• Prior authorizations for procedures, testing, DME supplies etc.
• Triage of patient phone calls
• Assist with care management of chronic diseases
• Regular communication with providers regarding patient care both verbally and through the EMR

Skills

• Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task and perform well in stressful situations
• Communication skills and a customer service orientation
• Know skills of medical assistant
