About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an energetic, proactive, and agile Staffing Manager to join our dynamic and evolving PMO team supporting a government customer. The Staffing Manager will operate in a supervisory role responsible for the successful administration, development, and maintenance of the staffing lifecycle, day-to-day operations staffing support, and working with the team on staffing innovation through current policy and processes in a fluid environment. Customer expertise, strong organizational skills, ability to establish and continue to build relationships, and concisely synthesize data to meet customer expectations are key attributes for success! This position requires the Staffing Manager to work at our PMO on-site in Chantilly, VA.

 

 The Staffing Manager will support the PMO with the following activities:

  • Work with PMO and TA teams to apply customer and Peraton requirements for seamless and timely staffing operations
  • Engage with customer representatives to ensure staffing solutions and expectations, current and future, are meeting their needs
  • Engage with customer representatives, subcontract companies, and candidates
  • Work directly with Program Manager to ensure program staffing issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Manage customer staffing portal & separate staffing portal for subcontractors
  • Develop and manage customer reporting ( track arrivals/departures, interviews)
  • Write and edit candidate staffing matrices to submit to the customer
  • Lead program's talent acquisition process to identify qualified candidates for the customer  
  • Analyze overall program resources to identify shortfalls and deficiencies
  • Coordinate efforts with HR, Security, and other Functional Areas to complete on-boarding activities for new hires
  • Assist with onboarding activities, to include integrating new employees with identified team
  • Processes hiring, clearance, badging, and system access actions; schedules re-familiarization and role-based training; and compiles Onboarding Packet
  • Coordinate with security, human resources, functional managers, Peraton leadership and the customer to ensure the new hire has the information and tools needed to become a productive member of the team.
  • The Staffing Manager will also serve as a line manager for individual contributors supporting the customer. Responsibilities include interviewing, selection and hiring planning, approving timesheets, authoring and discussing performance appraisals with employees; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance is required
  • BA/BS and 10+ years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Previous experience supporting a Program Management Office in a staffing capacity (or similar experience)
  • Excellent communication skills are required in order to engage with customer and employees
  • Strong writing skills are necessary in order to write candidate matrices
  • Understanding of the IC/customer’s unique skillsets
  • Experience working with SharePoint and/or ServiceNow ( updating, and maintaining) is desired
  • Experience preparing and maintaining staffing metrics 
  • Experience coordinating efforts with subcontracting teams
  • Previous experience recruiting, or providing staffing for an Intelligence Analysis contract is desired
