Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Hospital Internal Medicine

Hospital Internal Medicine (HIM) is a growing NP/PA practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in NWWI. NP/PAs within the division of HIM are expected to practice at the highest level of their licensure and scope of practice with a significant amount of autonomy. NP/PAs in HIM participate in all aspects of care of the hospitalized patient including admissions, discharges, daily rounds and patient education.
HIM NP/PA should be comfortable caring for complex and diverse patient population with a wide variety of acute/episodic medical problems. 24/7 coverage of hospitalist patients is provided by NP/PAs with additional compensation for evenings, nights, and weekends.
Ideal candidates for HIM NP/PA will have an extensive medical knowledge base, inpatient medical experience, and a continual desire to learn and grow as a healthcare provider.
Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current WI RN and APRN license and certification as an FNP, ANP, or ACNP with ACNP Certification preferred.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the WI State Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
Strong communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.
Additional Qualifications:
New graduates: Letters of reference from preceptors that can attest to your clinical abilities. Clinical rotations in inpatient settings highly preferred.
