EH&S, QC, and Facilities Leader Job Description Reports To: Service Operations Manager –

Florida Service Center Purpose of Position: To insure the established GIW safety and environmental programs are implemented and maintained, and to drive any identified improvements to completion. To perform the quality control and facilities management activities within the Florida Service Center. Duties and Responsibilities:1.Act as the primary representative and responsible person for all EH&S activities, and to work in collaboration with the GIW EH&S team to insure all aspects of GIW EH&S programs are implemented and maintained in accordance with company policy.2. Develop purpose specific spreadsheets to track employee training, attendance and departmental averages, report to the Company at large on a monthly basis.3.Serve on the VPP and Safety Committees.4.Attend Staff Meetings and report safety compliance to senior staff.5.Develop, implement and track inspection programs for safety equipment, environmental clean-up equipment, first aid materials, overhead cranes, mobile cranes, powered industrial trucks, Manlifts, ladders, firefighting equipment and other fixed and mobile equipment.6.Conduct new employee, temporary employee and contractor safety training.7.Conduct departmental, area and machine specific safety audits to ensure compliance withapplicable standards. Produce and promulgate written reports and follow up on the correction ofdeficiencies.8.Conduct OSHA 10, OSHA 30, MSHA Part 46 and MSHA Part 48(B) training, as needed.Maintain the required Department of Labor certifications/authorizations to teach each of thesecourses and to issue the appropriate Department of Labor certifications to trainees.9.Supervise a varying number of Company employees, temporary employees and/or contractors, asneeded, during projects.10.Perform necessary quality control functions including inspection of parts, customer equipment,and repairs to insure all products and service are in compliance with specifications,11.Assist technicians in determining proper course of action, and develop scope of servicedocumentation as directed by Service leader.12.Act as the primary person responsible for the facility upkeep. Work with site leadership toidentify any needs in the daily operations as well as any capital investment needs & determinemost cost effective method to acquisition.13.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Experience (minimum requirementsEducation:BS Degree related to ESH<or>10-20 years verifiable, equivalent, experience.Knowledge:Must have and maintain the following certifications, authorizations, credentials:Authorization Granting BodyOSHA 10 Outreach Trainer Dept. of Labor, OSHAOSHA 30 Outreach Trainer Dept. of Labor, OSHAMSHA 48(B) Trainer Dept. of Labor, MSHAMSHA 46 Trainer Dept. of Labor, MSHACertified Safety Training Specialist National Association of SafetyProfessionals
