Recreation Seasonal - Indoor/Outdoor Facility Supervisor

Supervisors will monitor and administer outdoor facility usage during MPRD events, customer rentals, and community events. 

Job Duties

• Provides excellent customer service and possesses a service philosophy which reflects the mission for the Parks and Recreation Department.
• Maintains the appearance of each facility by picking up trash, light janitorial cleaning, and fixing broken equipment.
• Supervises weekend tournaments along with weekday evening games/events as needed.
• Attends to minor injuries, such as using ice packs and basic first aid.
• Acts as point of contact for the public during scheduled events.
• Sets up outdoor facilities for rentals, games, and events.
• Completes all assigned facility maintenance and cleaning duties as directed by supervisor.
• Follows closing procedures and securing the designated facility at the end of each shift.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative professional working relationships with others, individually and in a team environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Additional Qualifications 

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Evening and weekend availability.
• Weekend availability is mandatory during the tournament season March – August.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Sports knowledge and experience. 

Other Information 

• Scheduling will be based off availability and work hours/locations will vary.
• Applicants must pass a background check and drug test.
• This is not a KPERS covered position.
• Staff will be asked to work weekends and some holidays.
