AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Aviation Engineering Intern to join our Dallas, Texas office.

Our Internship Program, Explore, is designed for college students pursuing a degree in a STEM field and provides opportunities to learn what it’s like to work in a professional environment and apply what’s learned in class to the real-world challenges we face every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in focused training, team meetings and present notes or results.
• Expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments or projects to develop your skillset
• Collaborating alongside experienced engineers to assist in various operations production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadway, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
• Research project site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations
• Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or mechanical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2025).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
• Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred)
